Golden Trip To India - 8 Days

Golden Trip to India has been carefully designed to showcase the rich sights, sounds and experiences of India, whilst keeping it fun and engaging for all the family. At India Rediscover, we’re known for our seamless, high-quality journeys and fine attention to detail – we’ll take care of all the arrangements for you, so you can relax, enjoy India, and focus on creating wonderful memories with your children. Kicking off in the capital city of Delhi, explore vibrant, souk-like bazaars by rickshaw; the kids will be in awe as you dodge cows and motorbikes! Parents will love the charming  hotels. Onwards to Agra to gaze at the magnificent Taj Mahal – a family photo on the iconic ‘Diana bench’ is a must. Next is a ride to Ranthambhore, where you’ll be staying in a luxury hotel and heading into the jungle on an exhilarating tiger safari. Between-hand, relieve the Jungle Book by climbing the 10thcentury Ranthambhore Fort that rests majestically in the heart of the forest. Your last destination is the Pink City of Jaipur. Here, kids can let their imagination go wild as they explore the rooms and tunnels of Amber Fort and the City Palace, before spending time with elephants up close and personal.

Day 1
Arrival at Delhi

Your Golden trip to India kicks off on your arrival in Delhi, where you’ll be met by a member of our team and chauffeured to the hotel. Take it easy this afternoon to relax, settle in, and recuperate from your international journey – kids will love the outdoor swimming pool; parents may enjoy the in-house art galleries, or relaxing with a spa treatment. Depending on the time of your arrival, if you’d like to begin exploring this afternoon you can let us know anytime – your chauffeur is always on hand and we’re only a quick call away on your complimentary mobile phone. Overnight stay at the hotel after dinner.

Day 2
Delhi Sight Seeing

Throw yourself into the deep end this morning by immersing yourselves in the bustling, narrow streets of Old Delhi. Your guide will accompany you on a walking tour through the colourful streets, taking in the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of India. Make your way back with an exciting rickshaw ride, as you dodge cows, motorbikes and street vendors! Nearby is India’s largest mosque, the Jama Masjid. Next, head to the Sikh Temple to look inside its huge free kitchens whilst they prepare and serve lunch to hundreds of people. Continue to India Gate and get an ice cream on the lawns, before ending the day at Humayun’s Tomb.

Day 3
Delhi to Agra (250 Kms / 4 Hours)

This morning you’ll be chauffeured to Agra. Upon arriving, the day is free to relax and enjoy your surroundings at your hotel. You can enjoy an uninterrupted view of the Taj Mahal from your hotel without the restriction of visiting hours, you can catch the Taj Mahal glowing amber at sunset, glittering in the moonlight after dark, and peachy pink at dawn.

Day 4
Agra to Ranthambore (270 Kms / 6 Hours)

This morning your guide will accompany you to Agra Fort and the magnificent Taj Mahal. Later drive to Ranthambhore. Upon arriving in Ranthambhore in the early evening check in to the hotel and get relaxed for the early morning Wildlife Saffari.

Day 5
Ranthambore Wildlife Safari

Bring the Jungle Book to life for you and your children today as you travel through the Indian jungle on a private Jeep safari (both morning and afternoon drives are recommended). The most famous resident of Ranthambhore National Park is the beautiful Bengal tiger, and sighting one in the wild is an exhilarating experience for children and adults alike. Even if you’re not lucky enough to spot one, what you’re guaranteed to see are numerous peacocks, monkeys, deer and crocodiles – what child wouldn’t be excited about that? Between safaris, climb the 10th century Ranthambhore Fort on a guided tour and feel as though you’re exploring King Louie’s monkey lair!

Day 6
Ranthambore to Jaipur (170 Kms / 3 Hours)

A full day of guided sightseeing in the Pink City, today. Begin the day at the splendid Amber Fort, later taking in the City Palace, the Jantar Mantar observatory, and the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds). Later we’d recommend visiting Elephant Village for an unforgettable evening with elephants. Elephant village is a peaceful spot on the rural outskirts of Jaipur, where guests are invited to spend time with these magnificent creatures, helping bathe and feed them, before taking a gentle walk together at sunset. If this doesn’t sound like your cup of tea, we have a number of other unique excursions available, from family dinners to hot air balloon rides.

Day 7
Jaipur Market Exploration

Day 7 of your Golden Trip to India is yours at leisure to relax and do your own thing as a family. Your chauffeur is always available if you’d like to head out. You might like to take this opportunity to browse for interesting souvenirs in Jaipur’s famous markets and emporiums. When it comes to shopping, Jaipur has something for everyone: from elegant textiles to kitschy wooden camels, even the most frugal visitor is likely to leave the Pink City with one or two pieces tucked in their case. For a souvenir with local fair, we’d recommend a piece of semi-precious jewellery or blue pottery.
